2017 saw a big shift towards plant-based eating and 2018 promises to be an exciting year of new releases. So, I’ve put together a list of companies to keep an eye on!
–Beyond Meat: Amazing products including burgers, chicken, and sausage!
–Hungry Plant: Chef inspired creations for culinary professionals. Expected to be available to the public in late 2018.
–eseChe: This is a New York based vegan cheese company that makes plant based cheese out of sunflower seeds! They are a god send for people like myself who can’t have nuts. Their products range from Mozzarella, Chevre (herbs de provece and rainbow peppercorn), Ash & Truffle Brie, Pepperjack and Smoked Cheddar. You can now purchase items through their website.
–Violife: Violife is a vegan based cheese company that has been taking the market by storm with craveable creations like the Blue Cheese, Mature Cheddar, Smoked Provolone, grill-able mozzarella, Gouda, Parmesan and a range of spreadable cream cheeses, you can easily wow your guests with a killer cheese board.
–Good Catch Foods: Chef made vegan tuna and fish patties! Speaking as a person who’s go to snack was tuna, this product is a life saver. Don’t get me wrong, I get chickpea tuna like it’s going out of style, but this will be a nice change up. Products are set to release sometime in 2018.
–Just for all: Just is a company with an amazing story and mission that helps provide food to the hungry in Liberia at low cost. Just in case you needed another reason to purchase their items. Products include mayo, dressings, meat, cookie dough and my favorite, the scramble! The mayo and dressings are already available in stores. While the meat, cookie dough and scramble are set to release near the end of 2018.
